XFL prepares for opening weekend with Harlem Globetrotters
With the New York Guardians preparing for their XFL debut on Feb. 9 and the Harlem Globetrotters set to play in NYC on Feb. 16-17, the two teams combined forces for football practice to remember.
During the unique collaboration, quarterback Matt McGloin fired footballs at spinning basketballs, kicker Matt McCrane kicked Globetrotters basketballs out of the sky, and wide receiver DeAngelo Yancey joined in the fun with Globetrotters Cheese Chisholm, Hops Pearce, and Hoops Green.
The Guardians will open their season at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 2 p.m. Tickets and more information are available at www.XFLGuardians.com.
The Globetrotters will bring their “Pushing the Limits” world tour to Barclays Center on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. and Madison Square Garden on Monday, Feb. 17 at 12 p.m. Tickets and more information are available at www.HarlemGlobetrotters.com.
