During these uncertain and challenging times when the need for optimism and hope is at record-high levels throughout the world, Capitol Christian Music Group recording artist Danny Gokey released a music video for his hit song “New Day.” “New Day” which at the time of this release sits at #15 on the Christian Airplay Chart and #16 on the AC Monitored chart is a song full of one thing that we all could use more of…positivity . The video which was shot in a airplane hangar in Smyrna, Tennessee, was Produced and Directed by Patrick Tohill whose recent work includes For King & Country with Dolly Parton and NF.

Gokey chose to partner with and bring awareness to Convoy For Hope, a nonprofit that has served food to more than 130 million people in need. Convoy For Hope’s 18-wheel semi tractor-trailer plays a big part in the video to include scenes being driven by Danny, who in fact used to drive a semi prior to being a contestant on American Idol.

The video creatively breaks down the different facets of our everyday lives and in the end pulls them together to give the viewer reason to smile and feel a renewed sense of optimism, faith and belief that today is indeed a new day, and a day that is going to bring them and their loved ones nothing but great things.
